What can iroko be used for in interior joinery?

Iroko contains a lot of natural oil so it is ideal for use in wet areas like kitchen worktops or bathroom furniture. Its resiliance to moisture makes it very durable. an important tip is not to use iroko where it may come into contact with pale fabrics like curtains/linen etc as this may stain yellow with the natural oils.

Why is Walnut good for interior furniture making?

American black walnut is a very luxurious timber with dark rich tones and unique grain patterns. With a very basic clear oil it brings out the sumptuous grain and colour making it desirable for high end cabinet making.

Why is Wenge good for interior furniture?

Wenge has a very intriguing natural stripe pattern when you plane it and a contrast between its dark chocolate colour and caramel stripes. It is very hard so be warned that it will blunt your tools and be very difficult to cut.
