Timber Computer Numerical Control (CNC)
Timber CNC refers to the computer numerical controlled automation of machine tools to give the cutting of timber flawless precision and accuracy. The CNC Router typically produces consistency in high quality cutting and reduces waste, as well as the probability of errors. This is ideally suited to bespoke, custom designs in timber.
Guided by Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) programs, the CNC option means that you’ll get exactly what you ordered.
The CNC works the Cartesian coordinate system (X, Y, Z) to enable 3D motion control. It is well suited to intricate and artistic designs the like of which is seen in hobbies such as sculpting and also in prototype designs. In contrast to a jig router, a CNC router can produce a one-off design as easily as repeated identical production.
A timber CNC router can be used in the production of various different items, such as interior and exterior decorations, wood panels, door carvings, sign boards, wooden frames, mouldings, musical instruments, furniture, and so forth.
Timbersource can use this device to engrave, cut, mill carve and 3D carve, primarily from hardwood and softwood.
